Ghost Buddies

Just came back from the premier screening of Ghost Buddies ( 老友开心鬼）at Tropicana City Mall.

It is a Singaporean + Malaysian's horror-comedy movie by Mark Lee and Maggie Shiu but it is not horror at all for me. LOL.

This movie is about a ghost's make up artist how to be friend with 3 ghosts and help them to accomplish their wishes. This movie is more like a hokkien movie instead of chinese movie, so most of the people who dont know hokkien cant really get what is the laughing point. The front part of the movie is quite funny but after that it is a bit draggy, boring and the ending is like simply closed-up.


This movie reminds me of  one of the korean movie 开心鬼上身. It is much more earlier than Ghost Buddies and their story lines are quite similar. However, the korean one is more impressive and attractive since it is more focus on the family issue. I still prefer the Korean one. :D
